About the Journal

Primary Care Science and Practice (PCSP) is a peer-reviewed, international open-access journal published biannually in January and July. Established in 2025 by the Center of Public Health Innovation (CPHI) in partnership with PT. Lentera Inovasi Kesehatan (PT. LINK), PCSP serves as a strategic global platform for disseminating transformative scientific evidence to strengthen primary healthcare systems and inform evidence-based policy-making.

As we advance toward international indexation, PCSP cordially invites researchers, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide to contribute their groundbreaking work. We are committed to building a diverse community of scholars dedicated to mapping global innovations in healthcare delivery. In line with this vision, we specifically encourage transnational research collaborations and comparative studies that bridge primary care gaps between nations.

Primary Care Science and Practice (PCSP) seeks to publish high-quality research that seek original research, systematic reviews, guidelines, policy briefs, and case studies that offer substantial novelty and global implications. Every submission must explicitly state its original contribution to existing knowledge and demonstrate how the findings advance primary care practices. Our primary areas of interest include:

  • Clinical Primary Care & Family Medicine: Family practice, chronic disease management, geriatrics, palliative care, and maternal-child health services.
  • Public Health & Community Medicine: Preventive medicine, health promotion, primary care epidemiology, community mental health, and communicable disease control.
  • Health Policy, Systems, & Management: Primary health care (PHC) policy, health services administration, universal health coverage, and interprofessional collaboration.
  • Digital Health & Innovation: Telemedicine, medical informatics (digital health applications, Electronic Health Records (EHR), and artificial intelligence in primary care), health information technology, and continuity of patient care.
  • Medical Education: Innovations in medical curricula, technical training, and continuing professional development (CPD) for the primary care workforce.

To maintain the highest scientific standards, PCSP adheres to rigorous integrity protocols and follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. All manuscripts undergo a strict double-blind peer-review process. Manuscripts that do not align with our formal requirements or fail to demonstrate clear scientific merit will be returned without further review (Desk Rejection).
